How to Keep Dog Hair Off Your Car Seats
Why the back seat fills up with fur, and the easiest ways to keep it clean on every ride.
One trip to the park and your back seat is fur, mud and claw marks. And if it feels worse lately, it probably is.
Fall is shedding season
According to the American Kennel Club, dogs that shed seasonally shed the most in spring and fall, as their coat changes for the weather. Double-coated breeds like Golden Retrievers can shed all year. Brushing before a ride helps, but the real fix is keeping hair off the seat in the first place.
Cover it once, stop vacuuming
- Dog rides in the back seat? Our dog car seat cover hammock is waterproof, clips to the headrests to help keep your dog out of the footwell, and has a mesh window so they can see you.
- Use the seat and the cargo area? Our 3-in-1 dog car seat cover switches between seat cover, hammock and cargo liner, goes in the washing machine, and comes with a dog seat belt.
Quick tip: shake the cover out after muddy trips and the car stays clean between washes.
